"I have been wearing hearing aids for 3 decades. I am a flutist, music educator, and counselor, as well as a PhD student in Performance Psychology. I have a high-frequency hearing loss in both ears, a congenital defect. I have relied on bone conduction, contextual reasoning, and reading lips to understand others with my natural hearing.
